STARFIRE  INSTRUCTORS

STARFIRE Training Systems Inc. employs only the most experienced, educated instructors in their field.  The following instructors have various specialties that we key in on and have them present the programs that we custom develop for our clients.  We maintain the quality and professionalism of our staff by encouraging on-going training for our staff and by seeking feedback from our clients, in the way of instructor evaluations at each assignment.  

Craig Aberbach – is a Division Chief with the Cape Coral Fire Rescue & Emergency Management Services Department located in Southwest Florida. Craig has been with the department for since 1986, has a Bachelor’s degree from International College, is a Florida State Certified Fire Instructor 3, Fire Officer, Fire Inspector and EMT. He instructs fire classes for Edison College, the Florida State Fire School, FDIC, Firehouse Expo and various vocational programs. In 2000 Craig was recognized as the State of Florida’s Fire Service Instructor of the year.

Jerry D. Jensen - began his fire service career in 1990 and is currently a Lieutenant at Sarasota County Fire Department. Jerry is a Florida certified Firefighter, EMT, Instructor, Inspector and Fire Officer. He has Degrees from the University of Wisconsin, and Manatee Community College. He is a Lead Instructor for Sarasota County Technical Institute’s Fire Academy, and an Instructor for Starfire Training Systems. Jerry has also participated as an instructor for 10 years in the HOT Training Program at FDIC East and West. He is also past President of the Sun Coast Chapter of FOOLS International.

Bobby Thayer has been an instructor with Starfire since 1993. Bobby is a Lieutenant at Southern Manatee Fire Rescue and is a certified Firefighter, Fire Officer, Instructor, EMT and Hazardous Materials Technician. Bobby is also active in Manatee Technical Institutes EMT and Firefighter programs as a lead instructor and he holds "Training Center Faculty" certification through the American Heart Association and is active in community instruction of CPR and First Aid.
